Short and sweet mini novella. On Zhao Yunlan's birthday weekend he has a wish fulfilled by going camping - to escape the stresses of work and daily life- and ultimately cross some things off his not-so-secret bucket list with his husband, Shen Wei.

A short and sweet: post Guardian/Zhenhun - somewhere in the future- Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are abroad on a very formal business trip, which involves certain dress codes and Shen Wei takes the opportunity to treat himself and rent a diamond necklace. Zhao Yunlan wants to convince his husband to keep said necklace in classic Zhao Yunlan style.

There was no point in coming home early, just as there was no point in going home at all. Now, alone there, Zhao Yunlan thought about that and how he had been so angry about the situation for so long that he hadn't even tried to figure out how his spouse's embrace and kiss felt.
His spouse. Not anymore.
He was gone away.
Not because he said he wanted to leave, but because Zhao Yunlan told him to go. He had told Wu Xie that that damn deal between their families was stupid and that Wu Xie should go away and have his own life, because here, where he hadn't chosen to be, he would never have anything to call happiness. But now Zhao Yunlan wondered if he might not have tried to find some happiness with the spouse who was once his. Perhaps it was his fault more than anyone else's for all the tears he had seen Wu Xie shed.

After Gui Mian's gone and Shen Wei's been told in no uncertain terms not to lie to Zhao Yunlan again, Shen Wei knows he should really tell Zhao Yunlan that he is getting memories that feel a lot like how he imagines reincarnation memories must feel for Zhao Yunlan, except he's pretty sure these are somehow Gui Mian's memories and memories of someone else holding heaven and earth apart and he's really not sure what that means for him.

"It seems we are not alone," Zhao Yunlan murmurs in Shen Wei's ear. His voice is sultry but quiet enough not to be picked up by the little surveillance device they've just discovered in their hotel room. He goes on, drawing even closer, "How about we give them something to watch?"
