Short and sweet mini novella. On Zhao Yunlan's birthday weekend he has a wish fulfilled by going camping - to escape the stresses of work and daily life- and ultimately cross some things off his not-so-secret bucket list with his husband, Shen Wei.

A short and sweet: post Guardian/Zhenhun - somewhere in the future- Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are abroad on a very formal business trip, which involves certain dress codes and Shen Wei takes the opportunity to treat himself and rent a diamond necklace. Zhao Yunlan wants to convince his husband to keep said necklace in classic Zhao Yunlan style.

There was no point in coming home early, just as there was no point in going home at all. Now, alone there, Zhao Yunlan thought about that and how he had been so angry about the situation for so long that he hadn't even tried to figure out how his spouse's embrace and kiss felt.
His spouse. Not anymore.
He was gone away.
Not because he said he wanted to leave, but because Zhao Yunlan told him to go. He had told Wu Xie that that damn deal between their families was stupid and that Wu Xie should go away and have his own life, because here, where he hadn't chosen to be, he would never have anything to call happiness. But now Zhao Yunlan wondered if he might not have tried to find some happiness with the spouse who was once his. Perhaps it was his fault more than anyone else's for all the tears he had seen Wu Xie shed.

Vaguely, Zhao Yunlan notes that he is already slightly tipsy and perhaps he doesn't actually need this drink. He's here for surveillance, after all. That's also the main reason he doesn't try to slip the bartender his phone number. Well, that, and the fact that there's something…odd about this bartender.

Wei tries to overcome his ghostly nature to heal Kunlun without having a bite from him.

Shen Wei is an officer, investigating the attempted murder on Yunlan. Both meet and have memory of their past lives. Yet there are obstacles to take, especially when there are job issues and obsessive love.

It was a fine day in early May when Zhao Yunlan heard the voice in his head.

After Gui Mian's gone and Shen Wei's been told in no uncertain terms not to lie to Zhao Yunlan again, Shen Wei knows he should really tell Zhao Yunlan that he is getting memories that feel a lot like how he imagines reincarnation memories must feel for Zhao Yunlan, except he's pretty sure these are somehow Gui Mian's memories and memories of someone else holding heaven and earth apart and he's really not sure what that means for him.

Zhao Yunlan finds a way to make space for Shen Wei's idiosyncrasies.

“I’m not drinking your blood,” Zhao Yunlan says, but he will. He knows he’ll drink Shen Wei’s blood in the same way he knew he’d let Shen Wei undress him and press him into the bed and fuck him, no matter how much it hurt the first time.

"It seems we are not alone," Zhao Yunlan murmurs in Shen Wei's ear. His voice is sultry but quiet enough not to be picked up by the little surveillance device they've just discovered in their hotel room. He goes on, drawing even closer, "How about we give them something to watch?"

In which attending a dinner hosted by the shifter tribes in Kunlun's honor leads the whole team on a roadtrip and into an investigation, and it turns out that even with Kunlun and Zhanhun-shi around, running the SIB can get a bit complicated.

Done with the silence and with his own doubts, Chu Shuzhi finally cracked.

Final part of the series

When Luo Fei needed to distract the policemen guarding the station door at night, the fortuitous appearance of the Dongjiang boy he couldn't forget, gave him the perfect opportunity. Nosy policemen needed good entertainment that gave them something to gossip about.
And whatever crime Luo Fei was trying to commit or solve, Luo Fusheng only relied on his Detective's judgment for that. And for anything else.

Something is murdering women on their way home. To stop the blood running in the streets, Shen Wei knows he's going to have call someone far more supernatural.

Shen Wei stuck his hand out, and the little sprout scrambled up on it. From his palm, though, it seemed unsatisfied, trying to crawl or scramble closer, or—

"I think it wants you," Shen Wei said, smiling gently. He held his hand out to Zhao Yunlan.

Zhao Yunlan held up his hand slowly, and the sprout scrambled over, shuddering a little and then seeming to settle.
