“My still so dear Yunlan,

Once again I woke up thinking about writing to you. I've been trying for a long time, but the words escape me, as if there isn't all this chaos inside me about you. As if I don't have words for all the things that are gone. And for those things that still could be something beautiful.

For Shen Wei, for the pain in his chest that hadn't ceased since Zhao Yunlan left, it didn't need a long speech, a long argument. He didn't need much more than that oblivion which, for him, meant forgiveness. Anything else would just be superfluous.

As it was during their previous meetings, the man didn’t look surprised. He was wearing black robes that reminded Shen Wei a bit of his own, though the stranger’s were of slightly lower quality. Hell probably didn’t care much about the prices of the materials, especially when dressing their failed experiments.
“I still don’t know who you are,” the man said out of the blue, addressing Shen Wei directly for the first time.
“Most people ask me what am I.”

Shen Wei is still getting used to this whole family thing, particularly to the loving insults between family members. Making tang yuan for Dongzhi Festival with Mama Zhao, while she trades insults with Zhao Yunlan and Zhao Yunlan’s dad, who is slowly coming around, sure helps though.

Wanting to kick off their forever together, Zhao Yunlan brings home a surprise before the New Year. Shen Wei couldn't ask for anything more than a home together with the love of his life, but he gets more anyway.

Zhao Yunlan and Wu Xie meet in a queer bar on a cold January night in Shanghai, over drinks and stories of broken hearts. The problem for both was that they - or those with them - didn't know what they wanted before, in a very recent past.
The problem for both of them now, is that they know exactly what they want.

Shen Wei knows perfectly about "him". Things have changed for some time now, but he is still part of SID and Zhao Yunlan's life. But Zhao Yunlan's life sometimes brings unexpected things to life that Shen Wei thought he would lead alone.
