“All of them?” Shen Wei answered, confused. Then he looked away, looked toward Zhao Yunlan, and smiled beatifically. His glasses were skewed slightly. Zhao Yunlan set them right with the tip of one forefinger and that only made Shen Wei smile more. His hair even seemed to have relaxed, falling into his eyes in ways that made Zhao Yunlan want to muss him further. “I think it’s all of them.”

In one universe the SID arrives in time to protect a terrified student and her teacher. That universe is not this one.
