“Be nice,” warned Yunlan. Da Qing had been in a bad mood ever since Yunlan very determinedly put him on a strict diet. It was embarrassing for a vet to have an obese cat. Yunlan was pleased to see that Da Qing’s fat rump wobbled less and that he didn’t look like his stomach was inches from touching the ground. All it cost Yunlan was blood and some skin, an ongoing payment if the fresh scratches on his arms and ankles were anything to go by.
