Another day, another mission. this time was to get Howard Stark's tesseract to the nuclear facility at oak ridge with a scientist named Shen Wei.
a scientist strangely competent at getting away from HYDRA and defensive driving. is this doctor who he says he is?

Even as Kunlun, Zhao Yunlan always made him feel very foolish, and very brave. Brave enough to do foolish things, maybe. Foolish enough to want the kind of things you have to be brave for.

And then Zhao Yunlan can’t do anything but use his eyes, for staring.

When Da Qing and Shen Wei reunite after ten thousand years, Da Qing decides that keeping his old friend’s secrets from the SID would make a fun game.

Zhao Yunlan is a police mole, working undercover to bring the Dixing triad organization down. Ye Zun is his handler. Their relationship is. Difficult, made more strained by the past Ye Zun refuses to disclose, and the frustration and weariness that years of living a false identity have wrought on Zhao Yunlan.

Then he meets Shen Wei, Dixing's dragonhead, and everything gets even more complicated. Caught between destroying a criminal organization down to the root and the increasingly powerful urge to protect the wrong man, Zhao Yunlan's going to have to face a final reckoning not just with Dixing and Ye Zun, but against the entire corrupt core of Dragon City itself.

Shen Wei is not in love with Chu Shuzhi. He has Zhao Yulan now, he loves him desperately. It'd been simply sex for comfort, to fill a need... until it wasn't about sex nor simple at all.
-and then Chu was seriously hurt.
