This is Zhao Yunlan's POV from the ending of chapter 13 of my main fic, We Won't Be Falling Down, and their little ~moment~ after the cage fighting case. It won't make much sense if you haven't read the main fic as much of the scene is written with the assumption you know the dialogue and what happened already in chapter 13.

Zhao Yunlan couldn't stand it. “Go on Shen Wei,” his voice was low. Hell, he didn't know he could sound so fucking desperate and thirsty like this. “Show me how you exercise.”

Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei take a vacation to a small tourist town to unwind for spring break. It goes in a direction neither of them expected.

In Zhao Yunlan's opinion, you could learn a lot about a person by paying attention to the small details of their appearance.

Scarf Guy takes a deep breath. "Call him," he says ominously, and Glasses looks up at a whiteboard on the wall, covered in photos and printouts.

"He's in class for another hour."

"Who?"

They all turn towards him, looking various shades of stricken.

"Oh no," Dungarees whispers. "This is bad."

A warm weight leans into Shen Wei from the side, tucks its chin against his shoulder, and winds skin-hot hands around him to clasp across his chest. The familiar summertime smell of Zhao Yunlan’s sweat. The familiar rhythm of Zhao Yunlan’s breathing. Shen Wei’s hand, still holding his brush pen, pauses over the lab report he’d been looking over. “Hello, Zhao Yunlan,” he murmurs, and feels more than hears the answering sound of Zhao Yunlan’s voice rumbling through his whole body.
