Because the only solution after finding Kunlun again is clearly to spy on him.

Ye Zun's first day on the job at Haixing, Shen Wei's first meeting with Kun Lun, and everything that happens in the aftermath of Shen Wei's return.

It's the similarities that get to him, the feeling that it's more than just a case of Kunlun being born again.

The moon seemed to reach into his chest and curl soft fingers around his heart. He caught falling strands of its light and bent them outwards to make a flower the size of his palm.

Ye Zun tries a different tactic to defeat his brother, that may tear apart everything Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan have worked to build between them.

What happens next.

Shen Wei is returned to Ye Zun, and Ye Zun enacts payback. Afterwards, Kun Lun exacts vengeance of his own.

“I don’t sleep much,” Shen Wei said. “I’ll be fine if I can just rest a little.”

Zhao Yunlan snorted and shot him an incredulous look. “I don’t know what you usually tell yourself, but you definitely need a bed and at least two days of sleep.”
