What happens next.

Shen Wei is returned to Ye Zun, and Ye Zun enacts payback. Afterwards, Kun Lun exacts vengeance of his own.

“I don’t sleep much,” Shen Wei said. “I’ll be fine if I can just rest a little.”

Zhao Yunlan snorted and shot him an incredulous look. “I don’t know what you usually tell yourself, but you definitely need a bed and at least two days of sleep.”

Shen Wei is a cop, and gets kidnapped by Dragon City's biggest crime lord.

In the last second before being swallowed by oblivion for the next who-knows-how-many millenia, Zhao Yunlan decides to be honest with himself and allow both him and Shen Wei one last indulgence.

He doesn’t expect the sound of his voice to startle Shen Wei so violently that he spins around and drops the knife he’d been holding.
