"Will you sleep if I'm here?" Zhao Yunlan asked. Those devastating eyelashes swept up slowly. Shen Wei's silence was answer enough, but Zhao Yunlan found himself moving, climbing onto the bed but not under the covers. Just for a few minutes, he told himself. Just long enough to feel Shen Wei's heartbeat, to convince himself that that precious rhythm wouldn't stop if he left Shen Wei on his own.

Set after episode 33.

Zhao Yunlan is pretty sure he'd notice if Lao Chu was in love with Xiao Guo.

A people-eating monster is just the start of a very bad day in the mountains for Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei.

A very drunk Zhao Yunlan summons the Black-Cloaked Envoy in the middle of the night for help with a grievous crime. His heart has been stolen.

The one where Xiao Wei gets hurt and all hell breaks loose for those who thought that it was an excellent idea to mess with Gui Wang.

Shen Wei stirs again and breathes a word, so quietly that Zhao Yunlan would have missed it if he weren’t right in Shen Wei’s face.

“Zhao Yunlan.”

Guo Changcheng wakes up first for once.

For a body lies in the center of the room, glass table broken beneath. Shards gleam, blood shining bright, soaking into the carpet. He really should have allowed Chu Shuzhi to come with them.

Because Dr. Park thought that running a dungeons and dragons campaign would be a "creative outlet" to "safely explore" all of Shen Ye's (definitely not homicidal) ideas. 52 sessions later, Zhao Yunlan thinks Shen Ye is having a little too much fun creating the main villain of the campaign (does he seem familiar to you?). Da Qing is just in it for the shrimp chips.

“Just in case you do belong to someone who misses you. But maybe you’re just magically a really clean stray cat so you can stay with me and be all mine, mine, mine,” Zhao Yunlan explained, as if the cat could understand him. He just felt he had to say something, like he didn’t want the cat to misunderstand and think Zhao Yunlan didn’t want him. Which was ridiculous, because this was a cat. How could a cat misunderstand anything?

The ability to shapeshift into a cat didn’t often come into play in Shen Wei’s role as Heipaoshi protecting everyday citizens against powered Dixingren. However, discovering that the new S.I.D. chief was gaining the trust of Dixingren allies against all odds, Shen Wei decides to use this ability to indulge his curiosity with a harmless bit of reconnaissance. Unexpectedly, this spur of the moment decision leads to him stalking a surprisingly familiar man, one he’d never thought he’d see again. Irresistibly drawn to this beloved figure, Shen Wei finds himself on light paws and in dark fur day after day, watching unseen from within the shadows...
