Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei share a kiss, touched by the gentle softness of warm light as they smile at each other.

Shen Wei jumps to conclusions.

The Dixing woman sneezed in his face. Twelve hours later, despite the fact that Zhao Yunlan was assured that Dixing viruses weren’t contagious to Haixingren, he woke with a raging fever and bone-wracking cough. A Dixing illness, his feverish brain pondered, needed a Dixing expert. Although Shen Wei was the obvious answer, Zhao Yunlan was virtually certain his expertise came from actually being Dixingren, and he wasn’t about to risk infecting him. No, he needed someone unlikely to catch it, or at least probably safe from being affected. So he summoned the Black-Cloaked Envoy instead.

Zhao Yunlan had never expected that their ship would encounter actual aliens. So far there hasn't been any indication of other life anywhere close by.

A memory slides his hands over Shen Wei's eyes and whispers, "Don't look, don't look, don't look."

When their daughter gets in trouble, Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan don't hesitate to make things right.

With Imugi's return, Lee Yeon learns of the Serpent's Prophecy and his unintentional role in it. Realizing just what is on the line, it becomes apparent that it's going to take more than just Lee Yeon and those around him to stop Imugi. It's going to take the cooperation of a lot of powerful people- including six people that effectively could be considered Gods.

Zhao Yunlan pauses when a splash of color catches his eye. Blue and violet swirls adorn a small box of nail polish bottles: three analogous colors, and silver for an accent. The set reminds him of the electric crackles that fringe dark energy, and he tosses the box into his shopping basket.

There's something that Shen Wei has always wanted to try, but never did.

Zhao Yunlan is flirting and Shen Wei is trying to contain himself.

Da Qing says bap.

“No way. I’ll live forever!” He declared.

Shen Wei smiled ruefully, staring at the transparent figure of the smug little ghost boy in front of him. Zhao Yunlan was not supposed to die as a teenager.

Yet there he stood, in front of the Ghost King, envoy to Hell, as one of Shen Wei’s own. A mere dead soul.

or, an AU where Shen Wei meets the soul of a teenage Zhao Yunlan in the world between life and death.

Zhao Yunlan blinks, and pushes himself up, setting his feet on the ground as he turns around to look at— He stares. Because yeah, that's two kids actually. He tries to remember anything about kids at all, but he definitely can't think of any reason why there'd be kids—wherever he is.
