There’s a New Year’s party in full swing, but Captain Zhao Yunlan only has thoughts for the First Officer avoiding him. When confronted about his behavior, Shen Wei’s answer is unexpected, but it reaffirms that being Captain is never easy.

A WeiLan Prompt One-Shot.

After Shen Wei has cured Zhao Yunlan's blindness, he's a bit under the weather. Zhao Yunlan's attempts at taking care of him are interrupted by Ye Zun turning up.

Everything has a cost. For a worthy cause, Shen Wei would not hesitate to pay it.

Completely unapologetic fluff.

“But I want to imagine the snowflakes landing on you cheeks,” Yunlan sounds a little dreamy, “on you eyelashes... So beautiful.”

Zhao Yunlan was tired.

Everything he had strived to build with the S.I.D; his duty to the people of Dragon City and beyond, had crumbled down to nothing in the matter of a few days.

He felt as if even the S.I.D family he had grown to love was now in disarray, and even the Black Cloaked envoy, his Professor Shen, seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Having successfully played bait in a nightclub, Zhao Yunlan might still be a little under the influence of a lust power. Either that, or Shen Wei is always this irresistible. Or maybe it's both.

Is that the Black-Cloaked Envoy’s ringtone he hears?!
The Envoy clears his throat. “Excuse me,” he says.
The criminal’s mouth drops open.

Kun Lun and his first meeting with the dreaded Black Envoy, in the dungeons of Tol-in-Gaurhauth.

“Tell me how they do it in the Profane Land,” Kunlun murmurs against Wei’s throat.

“It’s a professionalism thing,” Shen Wei counters. “We’re both here for work.”

Yunlan lets out a noise of frustration. It’s not like he really wanted to do a goddamn lollipop commercial to begin with, it’s not even on-brand for him; the only reason why he agreed to take on the job is standing right in front of him, refusing to let Yunlan kiss him. “I’ll just cancel the contract. I’ll pay whatever damages that flow from my breach. Can you just please take your shirt off already?”
