But it seemed to Zhao Yunlan’s eyes that the necklace leapt off of the counter in subtly more than three dimensions, its red string redder than the color itself, its clear stone larger at the center than at the surface. The chain of worked gold and rubies underneath it looked as insubstantial in comparison as shadows behind the thing that cast them.

When Zhao Yunlan meet Shen Wei's high school classmate who self-proclaimed to be the Prof's fiance.

Fight and chaos ensue.
