I was curious about the show's canon that showed what seemed to be an acquaintance between the Black-Cloaked Envoy and the SID Chief - before Professor Shen meets Zhao Yunlan. Therefore, I wrote something about it.

Zhao Yunlan takes care of a tired Black-Cloaked Envoy.

Once upon a time, there had been four Ghost Kings, and two sets of twins.

(Or, in which Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan were the twin Ghost Kings before Shen Wei and Ye Zun, and thus had the dubious pleasure of raising two natural disasters.

In other words, Zhao YunLan is tasked with meeting his new, scary in-laws, who apparently came back from the dead.)

It's rare, only once or twice a year, that Zhao Yunlan can convince him.

Two years after the defeat of Ye Zun, Yunlan reveals something about that night, and Zhu Hong asks the obvious question.

Ye Zun and Shen Wei are living together after the war ended. Shen Wei is trying to help his bother recover, but he hasn't told anyone that he is fine or what he is doing. How will the others react when they meet Shen Wei again?

When Shen Wei of the Endless returns after a long imprisonment, he finds much has changed. However, his relationships with - and feelings for - his two brothers remain as complicated as ever.

The next time they’re out, before they’ve found the creature they’re tracking, Zhao Yunlan leans over to whisper into his ear. Shen Wei is in his black robes, dark mask, fully immersed in the role of protector and guardian. He’s trying to sense where the creature is and Zhao Yunlan should be letting him focus. But this is an important matter.

“I want to do it with you like this,” Zhao Yunlan murmurs to him.

Shen Wei doesn't want Zhao Yunlan to go down on him.

Zhao Yunlan was a well-known Guardian of the human realm who hunted down even the most dangerous ghost that plagued the broken world, but a "casual" encounter with a mysterious professor at Dragon City University changed more than the chaos in which humanity found itself for hundred of years, he also changed his own destiny.

This is an alternative universe story, more related to the novel than the drama, but I hope someone comes to like it. Sorry for the bad English, it's not my main language, my bad. I don't own Guardian, the novel, so proper credit to the amazing work done by Priest.
