A year after the war with Ye Zun, there is contention between Haixing and Dixing. In an effort to gain the upper hand against Haixing, a Dixingren is hired to kidnap Zhao Yunlan and exchange him for the Hallows. An exchange that the SID cannot and will not make.

Shen Wei is missing, Shen Wei is /Missing./ How could Chu do anything but go after him? His body, his life is the Envoy's, he would sacrifice any of it for him. Dying would only be what he deserved for the envoy's life and happiness.

Ye Zun would like to test that.

The kid has gone very stiff underneath his arm. "My name is Guo Changcheng," he rasps out. "I heard this place had a fighter from Dixing. I wanted to see for myself."

Shen Wei squeezed his eyes shut. He didn't want to imagine any further, it was too dirty, too sinful.. but at the same time too desirable. 

Zhao Yunlan's wet half lidded eyes appeared in his imagination, staring at him as he'd let out a breathy moan through his spit shiny swollen red lips. The flames claim him soon after.

It was a really nice day. Picture perfect.

Spring had sprung and the Flower Tribe had opened their borders to invite the SID and crew to celebrate the end of the dormant season and the beginning of the growing one with them.

Silently, Zhao Yunlan couldn’t help but muse that perhaps one day they might open their borders to all, but for now, he’d take this over nothing at all.

Zhao Yunlan finds out a lot earlier that the Envoy isn't as invulnerable as he seems.
