Shen Wei handed him the spoon and looked at him. While Zhao Yunlan dried it off, Shen Wei said quietly, "What did you intend?" And there was a husky, thrilling edge to his voice that nearly caused Zhao Yunlan to drop the spoon.

Shen Wei was slow to reply, but it was not a hesitation. In fact, Zhao Yunlan saw the answer in his eyes almost immediately, but Shen Wei would need to say it.
 
"No," Shen Wei said, and in whatever war he was fighting with himself, saying it was either a major victory or a major defeat.

Mouth watering, eyes wide open, for the first time Zhao Yunlan momentarily blanked on an appropriate flirtatious line. The man gave him a restrained, small smile, that looked completely genuine, and oh boy, Zhao Yunlan was a goner.
