The SID decide to pull a prank on Zhao Yunlan. It doesn't quite go as expected.

Both Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei are oblivious idiots in love. While Yunlan is making arrangements to finally ask the professor out, he faces more obstructions than he had thought of.

While working late into the evening and hoping to help with a case, Guo Changcheng begins to nod off to sleep and to reminisce while being cared for by Chu Shuzhi. It is hard to resist not doing so, when the other sometimes reminds him of his grandmother when she cared for him when he was younger.

There was once a very ambitious professor who wanted to create an android capable to independently produce his own emotions. An AI so advanced that it can easily integrate itself into society and no one would know that it’s an android. He had three "triumphs" he wanted to conquer, however, time was limited to a human and there are some triumphs that would take time to achieve.

Shen Wei had an iron will and he had made up his mind.

People have been falling into death-like sleep for various reasons, or the lucky ones, if they could even be called lucky, would be inconvenienced by hair growing meters and meters long, their voice being taken away, literally, or being turned into all manner of animals. Or objects.

Shen Wei is one of the lucky ones. Zhao Yunlan is one of the unluckier ones.

He knew no beginning, knew not how he came to be. Nor did he think there would ever be an end. On a few occasions, he saw humans. He didn’t interact with them. This one, however, was different.

In the twilight before their next battle, Shen Wei and Ye Zun have a quiet dinner and revisit the moment that led to their lives as demon slayers.
