A few months after Ye Zun is stopped and Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan both manage to survive, Zhao Yunlan is kidnapped by a group of Ye Zun's followers. It takes SID 9 days to locate him and what they find is not pretty. Dark!

Zhao Yunlan would rather stare at a gorgeous professor than watch where he's going.

Following the final battle and the mustard seed confrontation, Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei leave for a well deserved holiday, but the SID team members don't agree with their sudden disappearance. Angry and hurt, the team decides to take its revenge on the happy couple by overtaking Zhao's precious SID office! (Based on the events at the end of extra #4 in the novel)

Zhao Yunlan is pissed. He is really pissed, until he gets the perfect idea for his revenge. After all, there is nothing better than utterly destroying your enemy while making out with your very hot boyfriend.

Shen Wei usually has his plans for when the Dragon City University has school holidays. Most of those plans involve finishing up on schoolwork, his own work, or relaxing with a book. That all happened BEFORE he got to settle down with the love of his life. That very same love who is a lot more needy whenever he had his husband to himself and wants some loving.

“Hey Xiao Wei, when’s your birthday?”

Shen Wei looks up from placing their plates on the dinner table.

“My birthday? I'm...not sure.”

Zhao Yunlan stares incredulously. "Did you never celebrate it?"

Shen Wei nervously pushes his glasses up his nose, "I never had a reason to."

“I have an idea! Valentine’s Day is coming up soon, so why don’t we make that your birthday too?”

In which the SID is a group of tomb explorers (NOT! grave robbers), Zhao Yunlan is careless with ancient artifacts, and Shen Wei is an even worse liar than usual.

In an attempt to practice his English, Shen Wei is convinced by a friend to look for a language exchange partner on a dating app of all places.

Zhao Yunlan finds his profile and intends to do more than just exchange language. Shen Wei, for all his qualms, falls immediately.

So of course he'd gone and done something stupid like attempting to spy on said work dinner. And of course he got caught. Because such is his life.

When Zhao Yunlan gets assigned to the city's planning committee for the New Year's celebration, he's annoyed, the moreso when he's told to work with some uptight professor on the goddamn arts-and-crafts project of assembling the dragon for the Dragon Dance. So when Professor Shen Wei says he'll do all the work and Zhao Yunlan shouldn't trouble himself, Zhao Yunlan knows he should be relieved...yet somehow, persistently, something about it troubles him.
