A WeiLan Prompt One-Shot.

“You could have all of this,” Kunlun whispers into Wei’s ear, gesturing to the mountains and rivers of his name with a careless nod of his chin. “Is that why you’ve gone after me so cutely? Seduce the mountain god to get his riches; it’s worked on the foolish and the wise, after all.”

Zhao Yunlan ruminates the current state of things as he lies between blankets and an asleep Shen Wei.

Kunlun makes a noise again, disapproving of the mats and tangles he can see in Wei’s hair this close up. He sets the comb down and picks up a strand.

“How do you let it get this bad?” he admonishes.

“What is bad about it?” Wei asks, tilting his head back a little. He’s confused, innocently and adorably so, and Kunlun can’t help but dismay at him even as he smiles.
