I've finally built a Guardian 镇魂 page, so I'll link to there now. I've collected all my Guardian music videos, as well as all my videos on ancient Chinese Art. New videos are "White Rose" for Zhao Yunlan/Shen Wei, and "Love Don't Die Easy" for minor characters.

The two leaders looked at each other meaningfully. “And if the bulk of the repercussions on you twisting the timeline falls on you?”

After his death with his brother, Ye Zun wakes up in Dixing alone. He thinks about four places where he found light and one where he found darkness.

Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei love each other and are the best couple Da Qing has ever seen, nonetheless, that perception could change after finding evidence leading him to open his eyes to the possibility that Zhao Yunlan might be cheating on the professor. Da Qing won't stay calm and will certainly discover the truth beneath.

Turns out, things were not what he expected.

“Um,” Shen San says, raising his eyes from the scattered papers over the floor. He smiles sheepishly at Wei, spreading his now empty hands. “My mistake?”

Chu Shuzhi and his twin Chu Nianzhi are two of the most successful jaeger pilots in the Hong Kong Shatterdome. In the Drift, it's impossible to keep secrets, but Shuzhi still tries to deny things - from both himself and his brother.

“Come here,” Kunlun says carelessly one morning. He is sweeping down the mountainside on some sort of errand, Wei supposes as he trails behind, admiring his graceful steps and upright posture.

Zhao Yunlan is startled to discover Shen Wei’s weakness.

Missing scene in Episode 34. Chu Shuzhi uses the Longevity Dial to save Xiao Guo's life, inadvertently injuring himself in the process. He goes to Shen Wei for help, and Shen Wei, in his 10,000-year abstinence-induced wisdom, gives him some sagely advice about Xiao Guo at the same time, prompting Chu Shuzhi to confess to Xiao Guo. Canon-compliant.

Partially inspired by what Jiang Mingyang (Chu's actor) said about Chu's slogan in a Guardian release conference.

Just found the series and I think I'm in love.

Shen Wei gets deaged. But the SID has forgotten that a younger Shen Wei was a ghost king.

Look, Zhao Yunlan knew what kind of tripe people believed about Exalted being these perfect beings, or whatever, but the truth was most of them looked just like any ordinary human, just with a pair of gold wings stuck to their backs. This though, this might actually be the perfect being standing right here in front of Zhao Yunlan.

10,000 years ago, the world was at war, god vs god, man vs man, man vs god. There was chaos, Kunlun God of the Mountain and his love Shen Wei were at the forefront, trying to save as many as they could.

A powerful God tried to take over the world but was stopped when Kunlun and Shen Wei both lost their lives, and all records were lost.

The gods abandoned humanity. The world that once was abundant in magic became normal. Magic became rare and users hide themselves out of fear of persecution. Monsters roam at night, and SID is tasked to stop them.
