So, he doesn't handle falling ill with as much grace as he does everything else. A Dixing illness, his feverish brain pondered, needed a Dixing expert. Although Shen Wei was the obvious answer, Zhao Yunlan was virtually certain his expertise came from actually being Dixingren, and he wasn’t about to risk infecting him. No, he needed someone unlikely to catch it, or at least probably safe from being affected. So he summoned the Black-Cloaked Envoy instead.

Zhao Yunlan had never expected that their ship would encounter actual aliens. So far there hasn't been any indication of other life anywhere close by.
