My entry for CloakroomFest Day 7 - "Free Day".

The idea for this story was brought up by Emrys sometime during the Clothes-Off weeks: What if Shen Wei's clothes were made out of dark energy. And what would happen if he's suddenly deprived of his powers?

After milennia at the side of Kunlun, the little ghost king has confusing new urges.

Shen Wei ponders all the ways in which Zhao Yunlan makes him feel normal, despite their less than normal circumstances.

The day Shen Wei meets Kunlun for the first time.

Let him be safe, Shen Wei thought, and closed his eyes, awaiting the final blow.

The confrontation in the Palace takes a different course.

Legends say that the beach was haunted, saying that something supernatural occurred there. Some even began to speculate that there were ghosts who had died and roamed around, unknowingly aware of their passing. Some folks would even say that there were man-eating, yet beautiful creatures, waiting for their next victim.

Or that was at least what the locals would say...

Every summer, Zhao Yunlan had visited the beach with his parents and stayed at their very own house for the summer. He had been visiting that place since he was thirteen years of age and had been experiencing strange encounters while living there. However, only one strange thing happened when he visited. Throughout the years, he felt as if he was getting closer to solve the mystery behind that place. But was it worth it?

Shen Wei is sick...

Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are serial killers in this one and also, they feast on human meat.

Losing Shen San made Shen Wei realize the bitter truth : A ghost and a human can't walk the same path. But the damage had been done. He had stolen his lover's chance at a happy life. And to repent, he chooses a path which has only one end --- a cursed fate.
