Zhao Yunlan bit the inside of his cheek. “You’ve never celebrated your birthday.”

Closing his book once again, probably because he had realised Zhao Yunlan wouldn’t simply drop the matter, Shen Wei gave his usual closed-mouth smile, slightly dipping his head. “No?”

Zhao Yunlan immediately got up, receiving a startled look from the professor. “That won’t happen again. Ever. Get up, we’re celebrating your birthday today.”

It's the end of a long day, but Shen Wei still has work to do. Fortunately, Zhao Yunlan knows how to get him in bed.

Shen San was just a man. Under the plum tree, his tombstone told a little story that perhaps only a broken-hearted poet and an enlightened-hearted monk could decipher. The characters engraved next to his name were in a shape as beautiful as Shen Wei's calligraphy flowing from brush to paper.
