Shen Wei approaches him holding a dish towel, making as if to take the menace from him. “Don’t come close,” Zhao Yunlan warns, only half-joking. He’d sworn in his wedding vows to protect him, and that promise covers the gamut of threats from self-martyrdom to tiny kittens who seem to be composed primarily of knives.

“Chu-ge, be careful!” And with one last look past Chu Shuzhi, Guo Changcheng turned and ran.

When consciousness returned to Chu Shuzhi it was with the bite of pain.

It felt like fire or ice, or perhaps both, were eating through bones and muscles. A metal band crushed his chest, forcing the air from his lungs, and Chu Shuzhi tried to physically move away from the pain, but it followed wherever he went.

Refuge only came when unconsciousness blanketed him again and the agony became muted and soft, drifting away.

Zhao Yunlan tries to escape. He fails.

Zhao Yunlan chuckles and shoos Da Qing to another place. Both of them stand up and Zhao Yunlan studies Shen Wei's face for a moment before inclining his head in question:" Ah I am sorry, you just look so familiar to me, mind telling me what your name is?" 

Sometimes, he thinks, Zhao Yunlan's sharp mind and observant eyes are just too annoying. 

...Well then, what exactly should he do now?

Look, Zhao Yunlan wasn't a creep, okay, but it's not like he's going to set up a secret camera to keep an eye on someone and then not use it. And if he does happen to overhear something that then gets told to him by the ever mysterious Professor Shen, then that's just proving his point, isn't it?

Yunlan decided to dress up for her and Shen Wei's anniversary just to show her appreciation to her wife. Shen Wei shows her thanks in bed.
