Rain poured down in drenching cascades. The ferocity of the storm made it incredibly hard to see or even hear. It was just a wall of water and white noise that caused Zhao Yunlan to shout a curse, uncaring that his voice was drowned out by the storm.

He’d have been lost if it weren’t for the odd flash of brightness here and there when lightning struck down. It afforded Zhao Yunlan a small window to get his bearings, but more importantly to try to get a glimpse of Shen Wei and the Dixingren he fought.

Would they bother to put effort into finding him if he just—left?

Da Qing & Ye Zun have a lazy morning in bed.

Zhao Xinci steps toward the door, freezing when his son turns away from the window. Large brown eyes meet his, crinkling in a brilliant smile. The trust of an innocent shines from him, and Zhao Xinci feels the whisper of guilt, of regret, before ruthlessly shoving it away.

The broom he’d been sweeping with is haphazardly on the floor. He’d been amusedly happy to clean for Zhao Yunlan (oh he’d do almost anything for him, even this, especially this) but Yunlan crashed into him and it turns out he wanted a different kind of reward after all.

There were very few times Chu Shuzhi truly felt helpless, but here, with Guo Changcheng cradled in his arms, he did.

The crime scene the SID had been called out to was organized chaos and worse yet, there were multiple victims.

This meant multiple uses for Guo Changcheng’s ability and multiple lifetimes to absorb and watch.

Zhao Yunlan took his time to say his goodbyes from work that evening. Shen Wei waited, like he always did, watching him chat with an amiable smile, clapping his subordinates on the shoulders as he finished conversing with each of them in turn, before finally he made his way to the door. He began to walk home, his hands tucked into his pockets, and he whistled a tune as he went.

Shen Wei peeled his way from the shadows and followed him, careful not to get so close as to draw attention without losing Zhao Yunlan in the winding streets of Dragon City.

Shen Wei watched Zhao Yunlan, often. But what if he was being watched back?

Yunlan invites himself over to Shen Wei's place in the interest of digging out his secrets and finds himself a bigger mystery then expected.

A bad guy fucks around and finds out.

Zhao Yunlan spreads his hands, empty, a show of good faith. If Ya Qing doesn't know he can pull his fire from thin air with nothing more than a thought, all the better. "I wanted to ask you why."

Most nights Chu Shuzhi was the big spoon to Guo Changcheng's little spoon, but sometimes, like tonight, Guo Changcheng was the big spoon.

Guo Changcheng was curved tightly against Chu Shuzhi's body as his hand idly stroked the other man’s arm. It was a repetitive gesture, a soothing one, and the rhythm of it had both men in a sort of half-awake but drowsy state.

Maybe Shen Wei should have known that it would only be a matter of time, that this was an inevitability, should have known from the first glimpse of Zhao Yunlan’s clever tongue and graceful lips playing with that accursed lollipop – pleasuring it, almost.

Until his day took a turn for the interesting.

A moment of peace so exquisite even Zhao Yunlan surrenders to it - how can he not, with Shen Wei and Da Qing right there with him?

With the help of a few students and a very dedicated IT department representatives, Shen Wei became a bit flummoxed, but proud owner of ‘Haixing Questions Corner’ email box. With his signature being set as ‘Ghost of Dixing’; (‘to make people feel more at ease’, the nice student told him even though Shen Wei had seen nothing especially friendly about ghosts exactly), and with his personal computer reinforced to withstand Shen Wei’s powers existing in its general vicinity, he was ready to help.
