Shen Wei had always been alone, his younger brother’s companionship doesn’t count but being the Ambassador of the Realms and a university professor at the same time had certainly been tiring. When the principal and his vice principal had suddenly throw this job onto him after the teacher in charge suddenly goes on a three month vacation. He can’t find himself to refuse.

As he lies in bed, recovering from an attack and surrounded by the small children that are fast asleep from worrying and crying, he couldn’t help but reflect back the moments he shared with these unique children who, in the future, will form the Special Investigation Department to carry on his beliefs.

Zhao Yunlan couldn't wait to be back to Shen Wei tonight and just begun to celebrate the fact of their anniversary of meeting.
That he has planned one little surprise who is one wonderful ring, who will be also the proposal/wedding ring.
He doesn't care if it's too expensive but it's worth it.

Zhao Yunlan does go slow, slower than he’d typically take these streets in the middle of the night. He wants to give Shen Wei a chance to get used to this: the rumble of the bike engine, the rough snap of the wind, the almost-liquid blur of streetlamps as they shoot past.

The worlds of Haixing and Dixing will merge or be lost, and Zhao Yunlan’s family is no different. Ye Zun is the axis on which it turns. Shen Wei loves them both, but the instinct to separate them is strong and his fear of losing Zhao Yunlan is relentless.
