Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan attend a joint conference of Dixingren, Haixingren and Yashou researchers, which seems like a good idea in theory. And only in theory.
Zhao Yunlan has the time of his life, and in the absence of trouble he causes some on his own, Shen Wei suffers and thinks of nothing but (academic) murder, some people get traumatized. Oh, and 'Hei Pao Shi' does not exist. Apparently.

It feels nice, having friends and acquaintances and family members he's newly on speaking terms with, all scattered around Dragon City. Like his world needed to shrink down to a blinding, painful flicker of light before it could expand and breathe and grow beyond the SID.

A missing person's case turns into something more sinister for the SID crew.
