Zhu Yilong wakes up in a universe where they’re filming Guardian following the novel.

When he finally unlocks their apartment door and steps in with a quiet murmur of “I’m home”, what greets him is the sight of Bai Yu sprawled on the sofa in the middle of their living room, diligently scrolling on his phone.

Zhao Yunlan brings a Dixingren into the SID for questioning. It goes poorly.

"Love isn't as easy as it looks--" Zhu Hong rolled her eyes, as the oddly-dressed guest of theirs looked at her with an expectant gaze.

"I agree, Lady Zhu. Easy is not the word to describe Sir Zhao's unpraralled beauty."

Zhu Hong: "..."

The point was, Changcheng wasn't used to having someone still be there the next morning. And though there was no world, Haixing or Dixing or anywhere else in the universe, where Chu-ge wasn't surrounded by offers (look at him), he was not the type to trust people just because he wanted them. So it was--possible--that Chu-ge wasn't used to this either.

Two unexplained and ominous deaths come right on the heels of the restoration of Zhao Yunlan's eyesight. With unseen forces bearing down on them in both Haixing and Dixing and two Hallows still missing, the Black-Cloaked Envoy and the SID need to solve both cases before things fall apart.

The SID team is panicking.

It sounds so—stereotypical. Zhao Yunlan, oh yeah, right. The angry teenager.

There are several lists inside Bai Yu's head, just for this weekend. A few items from the Yes column, a Maybe or two. The rules they've agreed to (no talking about work, no calls, absolutely no mention of monkeys, I mean it); the rules he's carefully keeping track of in general. Some things they wanted to do besides-- well, everything from the first list.

Or: After months of phone calls, texts, and brief get-togethers, Bai Yu and Long-ge manage to carve out a little vacation for themselves. Long-ge doesn't get much of a chance to read his book.

"So we would like to know what do you think of love. How would you define the feeling of it?”, the female interviewer asked with a handsome and reassuring smile.
“Hm, love? That’s a hard question. Well... I would need some time to think about it if that’s okay?”, Zhu Yilong asked with his typical doe-eyes.

Sending Guo Changcheng to sort out some boxes of confiscated weapons is a genius idea. Letting Shen Wei use the contents - even better.

Looking back, Shen Wei isn’t sure when he first started falling. He’d worried the thought in his mind for years, when his memories were all he had left of Kunlun, turning the question over and over again with careful fingers until its edges were smooth.
