Electric flashes of energy spasm through his veins, but Shen Wei's adept at holding in the effects by now. (If it hadn't been for that night with the knife, Zhao Yunlan might have never known at all.)

The fourth reincarnation of Kunlun brought with it the years of osmanthus. That was how Shen Wei reckoned time – not by dynasties and not by years, but by reincarnations and the flowers that defined them.

Zhao Yunlan doesn’t wake up one morning to the realisation that Shen Wei doesn’t know how to be touched, but he also doesn’t not wake up one morning to the realisation that Shen Wei doesn’t know how to be touched.

Enter: The Plan.

In this world there only two types of species, Haixings and Dixingrens. Naturally being the more powerful and dominant, Dixingrens rule over the world and countries. The worlds consist of many different Kingdoms with Dixingrens as Royals and Haixings as second in commands over countries. Slowly as the world progressed, haixings began to view dixingrens as enemies and many uproars are started. Haixings then soon began discovering ways to wipe out the dixingren race. Which had to lead to the attack on the Royal Chinese Family. No one had known who started the fire at the time. But when it had been discovered the culprits had already disappeared, leaving little Shen Wei an orphan and utterly lost.

One thing Zhao Yunlan always liked in theory was time travel. Time travel meant you could fix your mistakes and cheat your way through the lottery. In theory, it was a good time, one that he could use to find out what it was like to bang himself. Or become god, even. But he didn’t account for the possibility that time travel was very real and very much a pain in the ass. 

Time travel wasn’t supposed to dick him over and send him ten thousand years into the past where “running water” meant “the closest river” and “Shen Wei” meant “a child.”

This was not how he’d imagined their reunion going. In his mind there had been hugs, maybe some tears.

Zhao Yunlan needs a break, so he steals Shen Wei away for a much-needed beach vacation. The rest of the world does not get the memo.
