No matter how long they'd been separated, Ye Zun knew his twin well enough to find the perfect punishment: Eternal torment, sweetened with just a hint of hope in the shape of Zhao Yunlan to force him to actually stay alive.

(Shen Wei, despite some lingering regret in the shape of leaving Zhao Yunlan behind, has made peace with his choice to die to save the world and, maybe, hopefully, his brother. Ye Zun, on the other hand, decides to punish his brother by saving him and entrusting his life to Zhao Yunlan. Who, of course, is determined to get Shen Wei as used to happiness as he is to pain.)

I know it’s not my place to trouble an esteemed biology professor with such matters—” This with a heavy helping of sarcasm. “—but last night Zheng Yi kidnapped Damn Cat and used him to raid the SID for the Hallows. Lin Jing gave Da Qing a sedative, but the madness still hasn’t worn off. I’m worried about him.”

Sometimes, your day takes a very strange turn.
